Workplace discrimination is:
- Unfair treatment or harassment because of your race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or disability
- Being denied a reasonable accommodation that you need because of your religion or disability
- Punishment for complaining about job discrimination or for helping in a discrimination investigation
If you are not a member of a protected class, you will usually not be able make a claim for employment discrimination.
You will have a limited time to file a claim. The amount of time depends on where you file.
How long you worked there also doesn’t matter. But more time on a job lets you take better notes on how you were treated.
