  • Supports DVLC clients through safety planning, information, and advocacy.
  • Responds appropriately to clients in crisis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies.
  • Links clients to resources necessary to overcome barriers to safety.
  • Assist with client intake onsite and at partner agencies.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients of DVLC’s Emergency Services Division and applicants. Deliver all services according to principles of trauma-informed care.
  • Maintain client files, opening, and closing case according to agency procedures.
  • Record all client communications in Legal Server.


  • Passion for DVLC’s mission
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English and Spanish
  • Experience with crisis intervention
  • Sensitive listener with ability to explain complex concepts
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Basic computer and office skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Completion of 40-hour Domestic Violence training or willingness to complete training
  • Familiarity with principles of trauma-informed care and willingness to complete additional training
